ARE YOU BORN AGAIN?
Step 1, God's Plan - Salvation
The Bible states in the book of Romans 10:9-10
"If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord,
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
For a person believes with his heart and is justified,
and a person declares with his mouth and is saved.".
Making the decision to accept Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, is just the greatest decision of your life. The Bible says that you will be called out of darkness into His glorious light (I Peter 2:9). You will change your citizenship and become an ambassador (Representative) for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven,
(2 Corinthians 5:20).
Therefore, we are Christ's representatives, as though God were pleading through us.
We plead on Christ's behalf: "Be reconciled to God!"
According to the Bible in the book of Ephesians 2:8-9, there is nothing you can do to earn this; it only comes by the grace of God.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God; not works, lest any man should boast.
Grace is God's unmerited, undeserved favor. He cancelled the debt of sin, through the life of His own Son, which He freely and gladly gave for you, (John 3:16).
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his unique Son
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but have eternal life."
God's hand has been on you since you were in your mother's womb (Isaiah 44:24). Since then His love has been drawing you, although you didn't realize your need for Him until now. Praise God for His persistence!
Your salvation has been paid for by the blood of Jesus when he died on the cross of Calvary
(1 Corinthians 6:20). Jesus took our place at Calvary so that we might have eternal life.
God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us,
so that we might become God's righteousness in him.
(2 Corinthians 5:21)
Step 2, Our Response to His Plan - Receive Jesus Christ
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
Pray and invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and control your life through the Holy Spirit. Amen!
If you just made the decision to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior,
when you made this commitment, you become a new creation in Christ and a part of His family (John 1:12).
Welcome to the Family of God!
Although you may not feel any different, in actuality, but your spirit has been made new:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
Old things have disappeared,
and-look!-all things have become new!
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
