C.A.R.E. MINISTRY
Comfort, Aid, Relief and Emergency Ministry
Administers bereavement and benevolence to the FFM family, local community and disaster.
C.A.R.E. ministry provides an array of benevolent services which include bereavement arrangements, basic necessities, housing referrals, job opportunities and simply consoling people in their time of loss. The ministry is in the business of extending the love of God by restoring those individuals who have issues that may appear to be beyond God's grace and ability to help.
BEREAVEMENT
- Receive call from family member day or evening
- Immediately offer support and comfort
- Find out how we can help
- Visit family for complete information

- Email staff, ministers, area directors and B.A.T. team with funeral information
- Send flowers and card
|
If requested help with arrangements:
- Prepare order of service
- Arrange music, minister, and singers
- Work with Publications Dept. on a Program
- Help order food and set up Cafe for repass
- Attend funeral and viewing and will attend repass when requested
- Wait a week and then follow up with a call and card to family members
- Prepare Bereavement Team Schedule
BEREAVEMENT ACTION TEAM - B.A.T.
- 7 member team in addition to the Elders and Deacons Bereavement Team
- Pass all information to B.A.T.
- B.A.T. Members will contact family by phone, card or visit

- Attend funeral and viewing
- Help wherever needed
- Share any needs or concerns with me regarding family
- Reports are required and retained
|
BENEVOLENCE
- Receive request
- Come in and fill out application
- Application is reviewed
- Qualification is determined through guidelines
- Applicant Contacted

- Need or request is met
- Application is signed and monies are picked up
- Counsel is given and prayer at time of check pick up

CLOTHING NETWORK
- 7 Geographical Locations
- Members have clothing stored for anyone in need
- Request is received
- Contact appropriate area
- Need is met and family is contacted

- Delivery is made by area member or when possible myself
- Clothing is distributed by C.A.R.E. when necessary
- Reports are received and retained

COMMUNITY SERVICE
- Referred by Probation Office
- Schedule for Community Service
- Hours and Days are kept in a log book by C.A.R.E. Office

- Give a report 1x month to Probation Office about each server
- Gained recognition from Probation of Middlesex County as
- An approved community Service Site
|
DAILY BREAD
- Receive call for need
- An appointment is made and counseling and prayer are given at this time
- Paperwork is filled out after prayer
- Need is met
- Shoprite certificates are given when deemed necessary
- Have a volunteer core that comes and bags food and stocks inventory
- Go to Shoprite every 45 days to purchase gift certificates
- Work with Food Bank and local shelters to help community
- Contact Food Bank every 4 months for list of available products
- Order products
- Schedule trucking company to pick up order
- Schedule volunteers to receive and categorize and stock goods
- Personal delivery of food when necessary
DAILY BREAD SCHEDULE - 8 A.M. TO 2 P.M.
- Food Pantry
- A key is available for Elaina Villanova, Jodi Powersor Joe Balina to go to pantry during services to get food and certificates
- After speaking to person in need, it is determined if this is an emergency
- Recipient is instructed to call next buisness day to come to C.A.RE. Office
- Counseling, prayer and paperwork are filled out at this time

- Receive all forms and review information
- Accept or reject application and then follow up on it
- Refer all approved classifieds to Publication Department

OVERALL
The C.A.R.E. ministries continue to “restore people to their full and complete function in the body of Christ.” Over the years, this ministry has increased in its ability to help people on a broader level. The ministry has established itself among local communities and other churches as a department that brings love, peace and resolution in times of conflict.
